Mr. Basant Shrivastava

Mr. Shrivastava studied life‐sciences and chemistry at college, later going on to complete a Masters in Chemistry. After studying the interaction of chemicals, his inquisitive nature pushed him toward pursuing an MBA in Marketing. His exceptional work ethic coupled with his diversified degrees helped him secure a job in the globally recognized pharmaceutical conglomerate Johnson & Johnson (as a manager in their Sales division).

After a 7‐year stint at J&J, Mr. Shrivastava left in search of a different challenge, subsequently joining Parikh Chemicals S.A., a Swiss company, as a Marketing Manager based in their India office. Then in 1990, he took the courageous step of buying out Vita Pharma Agencies, an indenting company that was in operation since 1962. Today, Vita Pharma Agencies is a recognized indenting house that upholds the values Mr. Shrivastava himself holds most dear in business: trust and transparency. His lengthy experience with an MNC, his curious nature, and his grasp on the Indian pharmaceutical industry, led him to join hands with long‐time friend and colleague Dr. Tarun Gupta and Mr. Rajesh Gupta to start a new venture, namely, P. K. Pharma.

As the dreamer in the group, Mr. Basant Shrivastava continues to strive to take his ventures to the global stage, remaining as inquisitive today as he was early in his life.
